How do I purchase tickets?

Entry for General Admission to this year’s event is free across all four days of the tournament! Simply choose which day you would like to attend, and register online or through our mobile app.

Registration must be carried out for each day you would like to attend. Individual registration will only count for the one visitor.

What ticket categories are available?

General admission tickets are available for each day of the tournament. Hospitality tickets for our exclusive Dallah Lounge have been sold out.

What are the tournament timings?

Gates will open at 7am on Thursday and Friday, with the first tee time scheduled for approximately 7.10am.

What is the minimum age for entry?

There is no minimum age for entry however registration is essential for all attendees over the age of 2 years old.

For hospitality, children aged three years and above must have a valid ticket, and must be accompanied by an adult.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code for general admission ticket holders, although visitors are asked to consider local norms and customs when choosing their attire.

For hospitality, smart casual/golf attire is required. No denim, flip flops or shoes with spikes will be permitted.

Do I need to pre-book tickets to gain entry?

Yes, all visitors must register for a ticket before entering. With a paper-free system in operation this year, visitors will receive their ticket confirmation via email upon registration. Visitors can view their digital tickets by downloading our mobile app.

What food will be served at the event?

General admission ticket holders will have access to a wide selection of over 25+ food and beverage options at Tournament Town over all four days.

Food trucks will bring a range of different flavours and popular local brands for visitors to enjoy over the four days.

Guests in Hospitality will be able to enjoy breakfast, a sumptuous lunch at the Dallah Lounge inclusive of house beverages, and an elegant afternoon tea.

What entertainment will there be at the event?

Tournament Town will offer a relaxed and family-friendly vibe with live entertainment and activations for the children at this year’s event including food trucks and live music, activity workshops and much more.

Can I follow the players around the course?

Absolutely! The Emirates Golf Course is very spectator friendly and a wonderful course to walk. You can also follow the players with the map on our new mobile app

Can I ask for autographs on course?

We kindly ask that spectators respect the players and do not interrupt them during their round.

Can I take photos with my mobile phone on the course?

Absolutely! The Hero Dubai Desert Classic welcomes mobile phones, and encourages fans to enjoy and share their experience on social media.

To make everyone’s experience as enjoyable as possible:

  • Please ensure your mobile phone is on SILENT at all times.
  • Please ensure your flash functionality is switched off at all times.
  • Mobile phone photography for personal use is permitted throughout the week in all areas of the course.
  • Mobile phone video capture is allowed throughout the week in non-competition areas only, such as practice facilities and mobile phone zones.

When will the player line-up be announced?

Spectators can look forward to watching world number two and three-time Dubai Desert Classic champion Rory McIlroy and fellow DP World Tour stars who will be among the stars to tee off on the iconic Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club.

What time will the gates open?

The Emirates Golf Club will be open from 7am, with the first groups teeing off at approximately 7.10am on Thursday and Friday, and 7.30am on Saturday and Sunday.

Can I gain access to the hospitality areas?

Only those with hospitality passes will be able to gain access to the Dallah Lounge and Sky Bar.

What does hospitality include?

Hospitality tickets include access to the Dallah Lounge and Sky Deck, which offer a first-of-its-kind viewing experience of the 9th and 18th greens.

The Dallah Lounge opens for breakfast at 8am each day and a sumptuous lunch will be served from 1pm – 3pm, with afternoon tea served from 3.30pm - 5.30pm and a bar service available to all hospitality ticket holders from 12pm - 5.30pm.

Hospitality ticket holders will be able to enjoy scheduled player visits over the four days, and Dallah Lounge tickets come inclusive of a VIP Car Park pass (1 per two packages purchased).

What TV channels will cover the golf?

I booked the wrong day, can I get a refund?

As a general rule, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

What's the easiest way to get to Emirates Golf Club?

We highly recommend making use of public transport with Al Khail metro station located right at the entrance of the venue.

Will there be free parking for ticketholders?

Limited Paid Parking available at AED50 (donated to our sustainability initiative, Go for the Green). We highly recommend making use of public transport with Al Khail metro station located right at the entrance of the venue.

When will the tee times be announced?

Tee times will be available on the Hero Dubai Desert Classic website and mobile app, plus on the official tournament social media channels the day before play.

When will the full field list be announced?

Full field list will be available on the Hero Dubai Desert Classic website 2 weeks prior to the event.

Can I watch the Pro-Am

Yes, the Pro-Am is free to attend and takes place on 16th and 17th January. Spectators do not need to register for a ticket to access the course.

How do I register for a ticket?

You can register for a ticket through the Hero Dubai Desert Classic website or mobile app

What are the prices to attend the event?

General admission tickets are free of charge, however you must register for a ticket to gain access to the event. Both Clubhouse tickets & Dallah Lounge Hospitality tickets are on sale with limited quantity and can be purchased through the website or mobile app. Please visit the ticketing section of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic website for information on pricing.

How do I access my tickets once I have registered?

Unless you have been issued a PDF ticket by a Corporate Hospitality partner, you must download the Hero Dubai Desert Classic mobile app from the relevant app store. The ticket will automatically appear in the tickets section of your mobile app when you login using the same e-mail address that was used to register for a ticket. Please refer to the mobile app section of the FAQs for further information on this process.

Does my ticket enable me access for each day of the event?

Each ticket is represented as a Live QR Code; and provides access to each individual day of the event. If you wish to attend for multiple days, you must apply for each day of the event.

Do I need to print out my tickets?

As part of our ‘Go for Green’ sustainability campaign, no tickets are required to be printed out. All tickets must be presented within the mobile app on entry to the event, unless you have been provided with a PDF ticket by a Corporate Hospitality Partner which can be shown on your mobile phone.

Can I share my tickets with other people?

The share functionality within the mobile app is available for General Admission, Clubhouse & Dallah Lounge ticket holders. Corporate Hospitality guests do not have the ability to share their tickets as this is at the discretion of each individual partner who has invited the guest. Users are not allowed to ‘screenshot’ tickets and share externally from the mobile app. Each ticket includes a dynamic barcode which will be clearly identifiable as a false ticket if a screenshot is taken.

As the General Admission tickets are free, there are no specific tickets for POD card holders. Please refer to the POD Access section for information on accessibility.

We have partnered with WAV Specialist Transport who will be happy to assist with your transportation to and from the event. Kindly click on their logo below which will redirect you to their website and quote 'Hero Dubai Desert Classic' when booking to avail your discount.

Mobile App

How can I download the App?

You can download the app from the App Store or IOS or Google Play for android devices.

I am having trouble signing into the app / The app says the user exists.

If you purchased tickets before logging in to the app, an account has already been created for you. You can sign in using your email id and the temporary password that was sent to your email address.

Alternatively, you can click on the “forgot password” option on the login screen and reset your password.

How can I manage app notifications?

Your app notifications can be managed from your profile section.

How do I report technical issues or seek help with the app?

If you encounter technical issues or need assistance, you can drop us a message through the Contact Us page, email us or call us. The contact details are available on the Contact Us page.

How can I share my tickets?

Tickets that can be shared will have a transfer button below it.

You can share the ticket by clicking the transfer button and filling out the required details.

An email and an in-app notification will be sent to the receiver with the transferred ticket. They can accept the transferred tickets by clicking on the accept button.

Note: Tickets that have been scanned cannot be shared or recalled.

How can I recall a shared ticket?

If the receiver has not yet accepted the ticket, you can choose to recall the ticket. The ticket cannot be recalled if the ticket has been scanned.

My tickets are not visible on the app.

After purchase, it usually takes 5-10 minutes for the tickets to appear on the app.

Verify that the email address used to register on the app is the same as the email address entered while purchasing the tickets.

If the tickets are still not visible, please contact us, and we would be happy to assist you.

How do I purchase tickets for the event through the app?

To purchase tickets through the app:

  • Log in to the app
  • Click on ‘My Tickets’ on the home screen or your profile page.
  • Click on the ‘Buy Tickets’ button
  • Select your tickets, fill in the required details and complete the payment
  • Once the purchase is complete, you’ll receive a digital ticket in the app. This ticket will serve as your entry pass to the Dubai Desert Classic.

How do I access my digital tickets in the app?

Your tickets can be found under the “My Tickets” section of the app.

Simply present your ticket at the event entrance, tap on the ticket QR for scanning and proceed to the event once the scan is complete.

Parking & Transportation

Where is the event held?

Emirates Golf Club, which is conveniently accessible via a variety of transport methods (car, metro, bus & taxi).

Is onsite parking available?

A limited amount of on-site car parking is available at a cost of 50aed. Each 50AED will be used to plant three mangrove trees to offset the car emissions.

Is the event easily accessible via public transport?

  • Al Khail Metro Station is located directly outside the front entrance gate.
  • Taxi drop-off and pick-up will also be available for spectators.
  • Bus number 83 stops at Al Khail Metro Station.

Golf

Is there a Marshals/Volunteers programme?

Each year over 250+ volunteers support and contribute to the success of the HDDC. Sign-ups are through the official event website.

Are there any on course leaderboards?

Yes! There are multiple around the golf course, or why not also keep up to date through your HDDC mobile app.

Are there any screens around the facility showing golf?

Yes there are multiple large screens around the facility showing the golf, where you can relax and watch while enjoying various F&B options.

General

Where is the Hero Dubai Desert Classic held?

The HDDC is held at Emirates Golf Club (EGC), where it has been since 1989 (excluding the 1999 & 2000 editions which were held at Dubai Creek). EGC is located next to Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Metro Station making it easily accessible for spectators.

What are the opening times?

Gates Open; 7am.

Tournament Town opening time: 10am

Tee off starts – Thursday and Friday first tee time is 07:10. Saturday and Sunday first tee time is 07:30.

Play finishes – Thursday and Friday approx. 6pm. Saturday and Sunday approx. 16:45pm.

Tournament Town closing time: 11pm from Thu - Sat and 10pm on Sun.

What first aid facilities are available on site?

The main first aid facility is in the main car park adjacent to the clubhouse. There are also smaller facilities on course located next to the 3rd & 11th greens.

Where is lost and found?

Lost and found items will be collected, and can be recovered, from the main information desk found in the event Tournament Town (this is the main area located at the event entrance).

What is the spectator mobile policy?

To help ensure that everyone can enjoy they day, we ask all spectators to follow the below guidelines:

  • Devices must be on silent at all times and flash not used.
  • Photography and videography should be for personal use only.
  • Please be respectful of play and do not interfere with players, caddies or media.
  • Phone calls should be made out of ear shot of any potential play to avoid disturbance.
  • You are encouraged to use the HDDC mobile app as much as possible.

What are key safety points to consider?

Spectators should wear suitable footwear and be alert at all times to uneven surfaces found on a golf course. While golfers will often shout ‘fore’ to alert spectators of a wayward shot, being aware of where golfers are playing from and to is beneficial.

Weather

Complementary drinking water is available at multiple locations on site to stay hydrated. Spectators should also avoid extended exposure to sunlight, while wearing suncream and seeking shade where possible. Please observe on course electronic leaderboards for weather messages.

Where can I find official event merchandise?

The event merchandise tent is located next to the driving range with easy access upon entry and exit to the event.

What facilities are provided for POD?

A special viewing deck on the 18th green is available for POD. Access to the golf course is also permitted at the discretion of the guest due to the natural challenges of a golf course.

Sustainability

What does “Go for the Green” mean?

This is the Hero Dubai Desert Classic own sustainability programme, including areas such as resource safeguarding, carbon emissions control and reduction, community reach and charitable initiatives.

What does GEO certified tournament mean?

It means the tournament has acted and put in place different activities and initiatives to minimise impact on to the environment, mainly by taking steps to reduce carbon emissions, engage the wider community, supporting local economy, etc. The event has been audited and granted certification.

How does the event adhere to UN Sustainable Development Goals?

The GEO certification is based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and its objectives.

Is the event accessible by public transport?

Can I bring my own refillable water bottle?

We encourage everyone to bring their own refillable water bottle, water dispensers are located around the course and public areas for everyone to use, we appreciate no plastic bottles being brought into the venue.

Are there vegan and/or vegan food options on public areas?

Yes, there are plenty of Food and Beverage outlets in tournament town and around the venue that offer vegan and vegetarian options.

How is waste tackled in the event?

Hero Dubai Desert Classic contracts a company leader in the region in waste management to reduce the quantity of waste going to landfill.
