DUBAI, Feb 2 - Henrik Stenson and Miguel Angel Jimenez won the Omega Dubai Desert
Classic Challenge Match, beating their nearest challengers Mark O'Meara and Rory
McIlroy at the Emirates Golf Club's Par-3 course on Tuesday.
Sponsored by Jumeirah Golf Estates, the match featured six high-profile players
and formally teed off the Omega Dubai Desert Classic week.

Sweden's Stenson and Jimenez of Spain carded a winning score five-under-par 22,
one shot ahead of two-time major winner O'Meara and defending Dubai Desert Classic
champion McIlroy.
Eight-time major winner Tom Watson and European number Lee Westwood finished third
on one-under-par 26.
The six players were divided into three teams, each comprising two players. They
followed the greensomes format in a match that offered the fans a rare opportunity
to watch the stars up close and personal as they delivered a 'clinic' in wedge and
iron play.
Mohamed Juma Buamaim, vice chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi - the promoters and
organisers of the $2.5 million European Tour event - presented the prizes at the
dinner reception.
